How does this process work?

Step 1. Add the paintball gun you would like to customize to your cart.

This service is also available if you would like to mail in your paintball gun to be custom anodized. We only offer this service for paintball guns made in the last 5 years.  (Tactical paintball guns do not qualify)

Step 2. Choose the customizing design technique you would like from the drop down. Techniques are described below.  (The images are only examples of what the custom technique will look like. The colors you choose will be applied using the technique and look you decide.)

Step 3. Fill out your color choices from the list of color options. 

Step 4. Add the custom anodizing product to your cart and checkout.

Step 5. Once your order is placed, your paintball gun is dissassembled and sent off to a paintball gun anodizing company to be customized. This process takes 3-5 weeks in most cases. 

Step 6. After we receive your completed, customized paintball gun back from the anodizing company, we will reassemble the gun to ensure it is in perfect working condition. We do not shoot paintballs through the gun. It will still be 100% brand new when you receive it. We will send you photos of your completed paintball gun. 

Step 7. When all is completed, you will receive a UPS shipping notification that your custom paintball gun securely packaged up and is on the way! 

Step 8. Enjoy your new, one of a kind paintball gun!

What is anodizing?

Anodizing is a corrosion and scratch resistant treatment for aluminum that can be customized with different colors, patterns, images, etc.

Unlike coatings such as paint, powder coat, and cerakote, anodizing is bonded to the aluminum through a specific chemical reaction so it will never peel, flake, or rub off.

What can be anodized? 

Anodizing can be done to anything aluminum or titanium. However, the processes for each material are very different. The colors and effects possible are also different.

At ARC Anodizing we specialize in aluminum graphic anodizing.

6061 aircraft grade aluminum is your typical gold standard aluminum alloy blend. Aluminum also comes in other 6000 series alloys as well as 7000 series and 2000 series, all of which can be anodized. For a seamless anodizing job, it is much easier to have all matching aluminum alloy since each alloy blend colors differently.

Cast aluminum can also be anodized however the grain structure of the aluminum can be very unpredictable after the forging process and these defects can appear in the final product even with the best surface preparation. Therefore, we highly recommend that anything you anodize be of high grade billet machined aluminum.

How long does it take? 

For anodizing, our turn around times vary based on current work volume and difficulty of the job. You can expect at least a 3-5 weeks for your items to be inventoried, prepped, colored and cleaned. 

Techniques Explained

Dust: The finish of the gun will be a flat, not shiny finish. 

Polished: The finish of the gun will be a shiny, polished finish. 

 Solid Color: All parts of the gun will be the 1 main color you choose. 

Splash: Splash designs look like paint splatter and each splash design is unique and one of a kind. This is a great option for a great unique look to stand out.

Fade: Fade designs fade from your main color at the back of the gun (grip frame) to your accent color to the front (barrel tip) of the gun and then to your 2nd accent color if you list one. 

Acid Wash: Acid wash is a unique color scheme that is a one of a kind mix of the colors you choose. 

Sponge: Sponge designs look as if you took a wet sponge and dabbed the color onto the gun.

Marblw: Marble designs look like the colors have been marbled together. 

Galaxy: Galaxy design looks like the stars in the sky and each Galaxy design is unique. 

Tigerstripe: Tigerstripe design is a form of camoflauge. You are able to pick 3 colors for your Tigerstripe design. 

Cherry Blossom: This design is a very clean, high end design that takes an incredible attention to detail. Typical colors are Silver for main color and red and black for the accent colors as seen in the example photo.

If you are sending in parts from different manufacturers, the colors on the different parts will not match exactly. This is due to companies using different types of aluminum in their manufacturing. We do not warranty or re do any differences in colors.
